Description:

**Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance. US Citizenship Required.**

Participates in gathering and analyzing requirements for test measurement systems. Assists in the development of test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition to perform the test within the constraints of the test plan. Develops solutions to calibration systems problems. Performs data analysis, develops and utilizes data processing tools. Designs simple component level hardware or software. Uses analytical tools to verify the design. Verifies collection of complete data set. Maintains test logs, prepares simple test reports and archives data. Works under direct supervision.

This position requires an active U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Primary Responsibilities
• General knowledge and is proficient in the operation, integration, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automatic test equipment (and associated software, Test Program Sets (TPS), and programming codes).
• Designs component and sub-assembly level hardware or software as specified by the Statement of Work. Uses analytical tools to verify the design. Assists in coordinating the manufacture and assembly of test hardware.
• General knowledge across a wide range of radiation effects and electronic, electrical, software engineering disciplines (e.g. analog and digital circuit design, electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) electrical design, embedded software and microprocessor based system designs).

Requirements:

Required Skills:
• General knowledge of test support equipment (Oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc)
• General knowledge of microelectronics and their performance in a radiation environment
• General knowledge of electrical principles.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Nuclear hardness and survivability experience
• Knowledge of electrical design practices
• Experience operating radiation producing equipment
• Preferred to have knowledge/experience with high voltage pulse power, marx generators, and pulse forming.

Required: Bachelor's degree in an engineering classification from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
